Are you solving people’s problems?

Before I started affiliate marketing, I was actually involved in Network Marketing, or Multi Level Marketing (MLM).

Long story short, it wasn’t a good business model for me, and I had zero success.

However, I did end up going to a conference and met one of the leaders in the industry. His name is Tim Sales.

This was probably 15 years ago and I’ll never forget what he said.

“Business is about making people’s lives better.”

Now at first, you’re probably NOT thinking this.

You’re probably thinking: “How can I make MY life better”.

I used to think that way too. When I was first trying to be successful with affiliate marketing, I was naturally trying to make my life better.

But that’s not how business works.

If you want to make your life better, you need to create a successful business. And to create a successful business, you need to make OTHER people’s lives better.

Now, sometimes this can look like a daunting task.

You might be thinking, how can I make someone else’s life better? At first it might seem like a really hard task, but it’s not.

If you remember from the 5 Step Blueprint, my whole strategy to being successful with affiliate marketing is to create a resource online that solves people’s problems.

By creating an informational resource online that solves people’s problems, you are essentially making their lives better.

They have a problem and you’re offering a solution.

When they buy your recommendation, 2 things happen: Their life becomes better, and your life becomes better. They get a solution to their problem, and you get an affiliate commission. Win-win.

You can’t be successful and earn money through affiliate marketing without making someone’s life better.

So remember this and apply it to your business.

I think this idea can be very helpful to consider when you’re choosing a niche (topic for your business), and throughout the course of building your business.

People are searching for solutions to their problems. Your business needs to help them solve these problems.
